BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation has opened applications for the final EDA-funded Startup Texas cohort at the eBridge Center for Business and Commercialization.
The program is scheduled to run from Aug. 31 through Demo Day on Dec. 10. Applications are open through Aug. 10.
BCIC said the cohort is aimed at founders in emerging industries, including technology, manufacturing, health care, materials science, automation, aerospace, software, green energy, logistics, cybersecurity, digital health, e-commerce and environmental technology.
Selected founders will receive a program package valued at more than $200,000, including programming and one year of incubation at the eBridge Center. Participants will meet for weekly mentorship sessions on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon.
The program is delivered through BCIC’s partnership with the UTRGV Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center. Interested founders can apply through Startup Texas.
